If your IT500 is calling for heat indicated by a Flame Icon visible on screen, but your boiler does not turn on (React to Thermostat's calls), it is highly possible that the Thermostat and the Receiver have lost their link - and so it has gone into FailSafe Mode.
FailSafe Mode causes the system to switch on for 4 minutes and then off for 11 minutes. This article will guide you through steps to solve your problem.
We advise to ensure that both the Thermostat and the Receiver are powered up before following the procedure.
How to resolve the problem?
- First, identify if FailSafe Mode is the cause of the problem. To do that, go to you receiver and check the Top Led Indicator status. If it's in FailSafe Mode then the LED indicator will be flashing Orange:
- Turn Your Boiler off at the mains for 15 seconds, then turn the boiler on (This will reset Receiver -> Boiler communication). The orange light should now disappear from your receiver.
